Homeless Health Kits for Your Car

Have you ever seen a person standing at a busy intersection holding a sign reading something like this: “HUNGRY. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED”? And did you feel torn over whether to offer money to the person, wondering what they would do with it? Here’s another way!

Our youth have assembled Homeless Help Kits – gallon-size zipper bags that contain a bottle of water, an energy bar, a package of crackers, a small can of sausage, a box of raisins, a pair of new socks, and a printed prayer. The bags are located in the church entry. Take one and leave it in your car. When you encounter a person in need, you can offer it to her or him. It provides immediate sustenance without involving money!
