Quality Tree Service completed some much-needed tree work around our church parking area recently. Most notable is the removal of the four overgrown arborvitae that previously dwarfed our sign.
If you walk to the back of the parking lot and look down you can now see our storage shed in the southeast corner of our lot. This had been completely surrounded and inaccessible because of overgrown wild plum trees. And it had become an appealing hangout for young neighbors. In addition, some dead and overhanging limbs were removed around the parking lot and Cottage lawn.
Mid-summer is not a good time to plant, but, in the fall, additional planting will be done around the sign. Thank you to those who contributed to this unbudgeted expense. All but $290 was covered by designated donations.
