Planning is under way for the 5th annual Come Together Community Meal & Resource Fair on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Marshall White Center, 222 28th St., in Ogden.
We will set up on Friday, Nov. 6, in the afternoon and evening for setup, and Saturday, Nov. 7, for the meal.
We are collecting new and gently used and laundered winter coats, hats and gloves for men, women and children of all ages to distribute to any attendees who need them.
Please check with family, friends and neighbors who might be able to help. It’s a good time to catch parents whose children have outgrown last year’s coats. If you are a member of a service group, please ask them to do a coat drive, or pass along their contact information and I’ll contact them.
We will also be distributing hygiene kits. We will be collecting supplies for those, as well as completed kits (in gallon plastic Zip-lock bags). Supplies can include toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, feminine hygiene items, body soap, shampoo, lip balm, and large- and small-toothed combs. Thank you for your help.
