Frozen meals

We stockpile individual frozen meals to provide to people in need or people grieving a death in the family, or other urgencies. When preparing a big meal for their families, our members make one or two additional servings, store them in individual, sealable containers. and freeze them. We keep them in a freezer at church. Each meal includes a simple list of ingredients, and we attach a prayer and blessing card with each container of food when it is delivered.

Thanks to Amy Hiller-White for sharing the idea for this new ministry. She reasoned that sometimes big offerings of food (a whole lasagna, for example) are too much for one person, and difficult to handle for someone who has only a microwave to heat up food.
